Sadness and Dejection

It feels like I'm hardly making a dent. If I had my "journal" on my from Sacramental Living, I'd write out the comment from my teacher. As it was, the context was something like this:
My journal:
Teacher response: What's so wrong with that? Why not water down the faith a little?

I find this wrong and upsetting... I think my point is just not being made. What happened to Apostolic Tradition? And, for the record, a lot of Protestant faiths (especially the Revivalist ones) focus more on personal revelation than serving a greater cause. That is, as far as I can tell, counterproductive to Catholicism.

"Why not water down the faith a little?"

Has this teacher been to a Catholic church lately? Does this person not see all the empty pews?

I honestly don't know. Oh, and I realized that my < > tags and everything inside them were completely erased. It should read as follows:
My journal: [something about the video we watched being too Protestant]
Teacher's response: [paraphrased]

Also, he HAS been to church, I'm fairly certain. His daughter is very sweet and I overhear some tales, as she is good friends with my best friend. But I don't know where he goes and I don't think he relates the watering-down of the faith to the lack of attendance. A lot of people don't.

Take it as a challenge...answer his questions honestly, succinctly, and emphatically. Focus on orthodoxy and orthopraxis.

remember, Satan hates it when people fight for the Truth.
